Notice of 2016 JAFSE annual symposium

Registration fee for attending the symposium : 3,000 yen for members, 5,000 yen for non-members, and 1,000 yen for students

Distribution fee for Proceedings: 5,000 yen (discounted to 2,500 yen for students)

Call for papers – 2016 JAFSE annual symposium

Deadlines (for both registration and paper submission): 7 March 2016 13:00 (JST) for ordinary and organized oral sessions and 22 March 2016 13:00 (JST) for poster sessions

Presentation categories and paper length

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the symposium web page (https://www.i-product.biz/jafse/en/). All the papers accepted for the presentation will be compiled into the Proceedings. There are oral and poster sessions; please specify PS or OS in your application form. Oral sessions are further divided into ordinary sessions and organized sessions.

Ordinary sessions: 

Two page is the length of a manuscript for ordinary sessions. The authors of a paper can choose a few preferred session categories for their presentation. Details are given in the registration page on the website.

Organized sessions: 

The length of a manuscript for organized sessions are extended up to 4 pages. The presentation time will be extended also. The following two topics are planned:

(OS1) Replication of Fire Phenomenon in Numerical Calculation

(OS2) Measurement of Evacuation Behavior and Verification of Evacuation Model

Poster sessions: 

The length of a manuscript is one or two pages. Presentation and discussion will be made in front of each poster panel.

Notice for Authors 

(1) Each submitted paper must be presented at the symposium by an author of the paper.

(2) The speaker must be a member of JAFSE.

(3) The number of presentations by the same person is limited to one in each category.

(4) A PC projector will be provided in each room while the personal computer should be prepared by each speaker.

Submission of Manuscript 

If an application is accepted and revision is requested for the manuscript, the authors have to submit the revised manuscript by 28 March 2016 13:00(JST). Please refer　PaperFormat2016_forWP.doc  for the details about the format.
